Welcome to the Arts Society Worcester, affiliated with the national Arts Society, bringing people together through a shared curiosity for the arts and our artistic heritage. The Arts Society Worcester offers enjoyable opportunities to discover and support the arts of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Our events provide excellent lecturers sharing their specialist knowledge about the arts as well as day trips, theatre outings and tours further afield in the UK and overseas.

Our volunteer programmes offer the chance to become involved in local communities, support engagement with the arts and assist with  a variety of local heritage projects.

The Art at the Station project has now been installed.

We organise a core programme of ten evening lectures a year, on the second Tuesday of every month (except July and August). We met socially from 7:15pm. with the formal meeting from 7:50pm to 9pm. We welcome new members at any stage in the year and also are pleased to host non-members who pay £12 for each lecture, attending either in the hall or live on Zoom. (Students pay £5 per session.)  Membership costs just £60.00 a year and is open to anyone. If you’re interested please do get in touch or come along for a taster session. Find out how to join here.

Art at the Station. A coalition of partners led by TAS Worcester has commissioned a new installation at Worcester Foregate Street Station.

The project focuses on the originally very bland subway below the two platforms, spicing up the space with colourfully presented information about Worcester and its attractions. It includes orientation maps for visitors.

Information about our venue, Bishop Perowne, can be found on the Where we Meet page.
