Coronavirus situation update, 18th March; for the immediately forseeable future, The Arts Society Worcester will not be meeting for lectures or trips. Full details for members have been mailed out today.

Welcome to the Arts Society Worcester, affiliated with the national Arts Society, bringing people together through a shared curiosity for the arts and our artistic heritage. The Arts Society Worcester offers enjoyable opportunities to discover and support the arts of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Our events provide excellent lecturers sharing their specialist knowledge about the arts as well as day trips, theatre outings and tours further afield. (Later this year we are off to Uzbekistan to experience the old Silk Route.)

Our volunteer programmes offer the chance to become involved in local communities supporting young people to engage in the Arts, contributing to the recording of historical archiving in the churches of the county and supporting a variety of local heritage projects.

We organise ten evening lectures a year, normally on the second Tuesday of every month (except July and August). The venue for our meetings is Tudor Grange Academy in Worcester and we meet socially from 7:15pm. with the formal meeting from 7:50pm to 9pm. We welcome new members at any stage in the year and also are pleased to host non-members who pay £7.50 for each lecture. Membership costs just £35 a year and is open to anyone. If you’re interested please do get in touch or come along for a taster session. Find out how to join here.
